Netflix - Personal Picks & Perks by Post

A collaborative designer led brief set by marketing agency LBi, to come up with a way to attract boxset fanatics to Netflix for the long term. I worked with three of my peers on the project and our outcome looked to make the service more personal and focused on recommendations.
 
This was primarily achieved through a redesign of their emails to recommend shows to watch in a service called “Personal Picks”. Based on what you had been watching recently, each email would suggest four shows that were either already on Netflix or being added soon.

We also created a perks system called “Perks by Post” which rewards you for getting a certain number of your friends to sign up to Netflix. Through Facebook you can select friends to invite to join and for each certain number of your friends who do so you receive a personalised letter and selection of perks as a reward.

Potential perks that you could receive would vary from free items, such as popcorn and extra months of Netflix, to film premiere tickets, visits to film/TV sets and early access to Netflix shows.
Perk examples
Hastags such as #personalpicks and #perksbypost would allow this campaign to spread to a wider audience and so therefore gain the interest of more people, as well as give it a presence on social media.
